We here at Steingruebl World Enterprises used Chirstmas as an excuse to kick back, relax, and generally enjoy the peace and tranquility of a quiet day at home.
While I don't think we were unique in that this year, it's mildly disturbing to see how others spent their day. For example, priests in Bethlehem. Or Antarctic base staff. Really, people, aren't you embarrassed?

Should we be surprised that a strategically chosen calendar date (not having anything to do with any significant event in the Christian mythology) has no effect on human behaviour? On some sick level I'm kind of glad to hear that everyone climbs his own holy ladder one rung at a time.
It's nice to hear that other wearers of the Scarlet A are spreading peace and brotherhood on a unified date. Someone has to.
